Designer and artist Göran Hongell helped pioneer Finnish glass tradition with his mouthblown drinkware collection, Aarne. When introduced, Aarne won the 1954 Milan Triennale and set the trend for minimalist Scandinavian glassware. The iconic collection proved its timelessness by receiving the American Table Top Award in 1988. Aarne continues to be honored as part of the permanent collection at the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
